Australia is in the throes of fighting off mining giants who were invited by the government to go ahead and apply for gas or mineral explorations leases over any where they like with ' maybe the exception of the national parks. No where is safe. We can negotiate some but can not stop them coming in our gate and onto our property. It appears the ordinary citizen has no rights. I think that this will be the straw that breaks the camel's back of the man on the land and there will be revolt.
Once again Google ' Lock the Gate Alliance Inc' to get lots of info. I wonder who is going to be paying taxes that make the government run??? With the introduction of the Carbon Tax law, big mining companies are thinking twice about expansion. I love this. Even if we all go down the sewer we will not be alone. There will be so many corrupt politicians and bureaucrats to keep us commoners up out of the shit!
