Australian Prisoners of War on the Thai-Burma railway 1942-44
I received a lovely email from a lady who is researching the above to find out what she can about my man's eldest brother who died on a Japanese ship bombed by the Americans in Sept. 1944.
She sent so much information about him and other prisoners. I am still teary. So many beautiful young men used as slaves.
And.... What for????
I don't think that the railway was even used all that much.
We must never forget. We must keep alert. Do not become complacent.
